Dots & Triangles Privacy Policy

Dots & Triangles is a turn-based game with offline play, optional private online rooms, and interstitial advertising. This policy explains the data used to provide those features.

Data we use

If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, the provider sends a signed identity token to our server. We verify it and retain the provider name, a provider-specific account identifier, an optional display name, and account timestamps. Raw provider tokens are not intentionally stored or logged.

The app stores an opaque game-session token in secure device storage. The server stores only a cryptographic hash of that token. Online room codes, players, moves, scores, and board state are processed to run the match. Finished or abandoned room data is temporary and is configured for deletion after approximately one hour.

When you open Scan QR, camera frames are processed on the device by the platform barcode scanner. The app does not save or upload those frames. Offline games, preferences, and statistics remain on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall it.

Our server may process network address information for security rate limiting and redacted technical logs for reliability. Advertising builds use Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform. Depending on your region and privacy choices, Google may process device or advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and consent signals to deliver, measure, limit, or personalize ads. Development and QA builds use Google's test advertisements only. We do not sell personal data.

Service providers

Google and Apple process sign-in information under their own privacy terms. Google also processes advertising and consent information for AdMob under Google's privacy terms. Our hosting provider processes the limited server data needed to operate online rooms.

Your choices

You can play offline without an online account. You can decline camera access and enter a room code manually. Where required, the app presents Google's consent form before requesting ads and exposes privacy options in Settings so you can revisit those choices. Children and changes

The service is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the effective date on this page.
